This blog post includes a link to instructions on how to sew yourself (and others) a face mask. If you know how to sew, even a little bit, stop reading, go to that link, and start sewing. If you have a sewing machine or can sew by hand, if you have an old bed sheet or a pillowcase, you can help save lives.

It drives me crazy when I hear people say "face masks don't work." Doctors and healthcare workers wear them. They have been used for over a century - how could that make sense? It's all about perspective. What those people were saying was "face masks won't stop ME from getting the virus." That is true, they are not a panacea. But face masks help everyone, and they do a LOT of good for the people around you.
There is a worldwide shortage of some basic health supplies. Luckily, there is an army of makers out there. If every maker, cosplay costumer designer, and crafting enthusiast could sew and share ten face masks, we would be vastly better off.
I have a lot more to say about this topic, but I will wait until I've reflected some more, AND sewn a few more masks.
